Each and every one have seen all the series of movies of the fast and furious franchise which was screened in 2001 and the series has been made into eight different films till date. We’re hopefully expecting the ninth film in March, 2021. Out of all these films, one best film to come out of the series was the third instalment of The Fast and the Furious Franchise – Tokyo Drift which was released in 2006.

As Tokyo drift movie was famous for action, drifting, women and romance. But most importantly, its showstopper was undoubtedly the 200 cars, brought in from various parts around the world. For example; as right-hand drive vehicles were needed, Eleven Nissan 350Zs was brought from Paris. 10 units of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX cars, Toyota Chasers, Mitsubishi, Mazda RX7s and old Nissan Silvia are used as second-hand vehicles for racing and for fun.

They even brought a couple of Volkswagen Cars, four Volkswagen Golf R32s and Volkswagen Touran MPVs which gave a lot of bizarre modifications and jaw dropping performances.


A compiled list of some of the best Fast & Furious Tokya Drift Cars are listed below:

1. THE 1967 FORD MUSTANG

Mustang had been used by Sean Boswel in the film, which was a “piece of art” and has gained notoriety for being one of the most trustworthy vehicles ever. The V8 Tokyo Drift Mustang carries with it a yield of 375 HP and gave a speedy record of 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds and even ran the quarter-mile in about 14.7 seconds at around 96.7 mph. It contains a V8 motor from a 2001 Nissan Skyline RB 26 and the transmission of a 1998 Nissan Skyline 5speed 2wd.The vehicle has 245/35 R19 tires on the front and 275/35 R19 back Toyo proxes T1R tires, and Volk Racing Gray GT-7 also to keep the wheels off the ground.


2. THE 1970 PLYMOUTH ROADRUNNER GTX

The Plymouth Roadrunner is exquisite and is seen less in the film for two minutes of screen time at the end. The shot was made at the last possible moment so that clarifies why the vehicle must be leased rather than bought like the wide range of various vehicles in the film. It was driven by Torretto (played by Vin Diesel) who had won it from Han years back. The vehicle was obtained for the film from Steve Strope. It was built on TLC arrangement ‘Rides’.

3. THE 1971 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO

This vehicle was mostly seen during the primary quarter of the film. Two of the motors from the nine Monte Carlos used in the film are a 3509 cubic inch one with an amazing 560HP that can move from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.4 seconds. The other one is a Bill Mitchell 572 cubic inch machine that produces 700HP. The wheels are similarly amazing, being fit with Cragar 397 steel – a 15 inch wheel, fit with Wilwood slows down and folded over in a Goodyear Eagle Slick around all them. The force generally gets out from the back tires, so we did some burrowing and found that the tires in the front are 27×8 inches and those in the back are somewhat greater, being 27×10 inches

4. THE 2003 NISSAN 350Z

The Nissan 350Z was introduced after an outrageous baddie Nissan GTR. It was the coolest vehicle throughout the film as it was strong, simple and stuffed with power. In the film, the 350 promptly looks out as it wears a dark classy look. Sean Boswell used this vehicle and is said to be The “Legend” of the film. It delivers 306 HP at 6650 RPM and 256 LBS ft force at 5950 RPM. 8.THE 2007 NISSAN SYLVIA S15
